Watchfield 10.7 MW solar site
The Watchfield Solar site is located around 30 miles south-west of Bristol, adjacent to the M5. The project is split between two 30 acre sites.
Operational from March 2014.
With 10.7MWp of solar PV panels installed across the site, the project is expected to generate 10,660MWh of energy annually, enough to power 3,230 homes.
The project will offset 5,226 tonnes of C02 each year, which is the equivalent to offsetting the carbon footprint from over 1,161 average UK homes.
Further to the environmental benefits, the project will contribute to the local community with a Community Benefit of £10,000.
The project was developed by Solar Century, one of the leading UK solar installers and developers.
